Grades 2 and 3 are taught through teachers – a para teacher from the college and a teacher appointed through Ugam. From attempting to find a toehold in a new geography, forming relations with the local administrations, and developing credibility for the foundation, Ugam has come miles in advance. It presently runs ten centers with 500 very enthusiastic and keen students.
“Our new program, Udaan, goals to achieve this by participating with the local and national authorities. We are running five government colleges within the district. Under Udaan, Ugam has trained ten instructors from those faculties and shares day-by-day lesson plans for math, English, and Hindi,” says Lopa.
